I guess that I was always a “Gear Head”, growing up on a farm with so many mechanical things around, I always wanted to know how they worked. I remember taking a lawn mower apart to try to “fix it”, even though it was running OK to begin with. I never did get it running well after that due to a lack of proper tools and knowledge. I’ve come a long way since then.
Fast forward many years and I’m still interested in the working of mechanical things, primarily passenger cars. But, since I’m in a business where I work on other people’s vehicles, I’ve also learned that providing great service to every customer is as important as the actual mechanical service or repair.
Upon moving to Boise Idaho in the fall of 1989 I began working in a shop where the focus was on foreign cars only, with a large focus on Saab cars, which as many know, has become a bit of a passion for me. After about three years I was ready to break out on my own, even though I was enjoying a great relationship with my employer at the time. He continued to help me in the years following in the start up of my own business.
About the biggest event in my life was when I was so fortunate to be married to my wonderful wife Eve in 2003. She also brought three wonderful kids into my life that I’m thankful to have been a part of helping to grow into successful, responsible adults. She plays such a large part in many of the successes in my life in recent years and I am so thankful to her.
We enjoy many things together and the outdoor times are some of the best. We love getting our little camper as close as we can to an isolated spot on a river. We have also enjoyed some great times rafting on the wonderful rivers here in Idaho.
I save the best for last, I am thankful every day for the way that God has blessed my life, with health, family, friends, and the wonderful privilege of being able to serve others.
