When it comes to online gambling, there are various forms available. From sports betting and lottery games to other options available for those wishing to test their luck. Legalities of various forms of online gambling vary by state.
While sports betting has been legalized in several states, online casino gaming and other forms of online gambling have yet to catch on in those same states – many even banning it completely! Colorado takes an extremely restrictive view towards online gambling, explicitly prohibiting it all except pari-mutuel and charitable gaming. However, sports betting is legal due to reinterpretation of the Wire Act; furthermore daily fantasy sports is permitted from multiple national providers in this state.
Oklahoma allows regulated online gambling in the form of sports betting and daily fantasy sports. Nine brick-and-mortar casinos exist within its borders where sports bettors may place their bets, although no legal framework is in place for online casinos and poker sites.
Kansas does not explicitly prohibit online gambling; however, it isn’t allowed either. Kansas allows residents to engage in sports betting via its own platform, and daily fantasy sports competition. Despite such restrictions there are multiple casinos accepting Kansas players despite them and no prosecution has occurred thus making Kansas one of the least restrictive states for online gaming in America.
